Following the vision of Mingyur Rinpoche, we are reimagining education by blending Buddhist wisdom with contemporary learning to nurture joy, resilience, and altruism in our youth. As a volunteer, you will directly contribute to this mission—whether you’re supporting classroom experiences, contributing specialized skills, or helping behind the scenes.
Our global team is small, thoughtful, and deeply committed, so we’re looking for volunteers who not only bring strong skills, but who are also a good fit with our existing team. We are intentional and selective in our volunteer process, seeking individuals who can add capacity and expertise in key areas. At this time, we’re accepting volunteers for a few high-impact positions that will help us grow and deepen our work in the world.

FAQs
Can I volunteer remotely?
Yes! Many of our roles can be done from anywhere. We’ll work with you to ensure clear expectations, timelines, and communication systems so that remote work is smooth and impactful.
Can I travel to Nepal as a volunteer?
Yes, for select roles. We occasionally host in-person volunteers at our Kathmandu campus, especially for key teaching areas or professional development roles. These opportunities require more preparation and are typically reserved for longer-term placements (minimum 3 months). Volunteers are responsible for their own travel arrangements and must meet local visa requirements.
Do I need to have teaching experience to volunteer?
Not necessarily. Some of our roles—especially those involving direct classroom work—require experience in education or child development. However, we also have opportunities in areas like research, fundraising, communications, and analytics where different skills are needed. If you have relevant experience, a learning mindset, and alignment with our values, we’d love to hear from you.
What is the typical time commitment?
Time commitments vary by role. Some are short-term (e.g., 4–8 weeks for a research or setup project), while others may be longer-term engagements (e.g., 3–6 months of part-time support). Estimated time commitments are described in the position descriptiion.
How do you select volunteers?
We take a thoughtful and selective approach to ensure strong alignment. Our process typically includes an application, a short video call, and a review of relevant experience or samples of past work (if applicable). We are generally looking for highly experienced volunteers who can add expertise to our small, values-driven team.
