Fionnuala Shenpen Daffy
Fionnuala Shenpen Daffy is a seasoned project leader, fundraiser, and Buddhist practitioner with over two decades of experience initiating and scaling educational and community-based initiatives across cultures. As Director of Development for Tergar Schools, she draws on a long history of successfully building programs from the ground up—most notably as founding director of Tsoknyi Gechak School in Nepal, where she led the transformation of an informal learning space into a thriving, government-recognized school for young Tibetan Buddhist nuns.
With a background in community development, education, and contemplative practice, Fionnuala brings strategic vision, empathy, and practical know-how to her work. Her leadership has mobilized international fundraising networks, created sustainable development plans, and supported culturally responsive education for underserved communities.
A long-term student of Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche and his brother Tsoknyi Rinpoche, Fionnuala serves as a guide and facilitator within the global Tergar Meditation Community and Fully Being. She is passionate about building holistic systems of learning that nurture awareness, compassion, and inner well-being; for children in the Himalayas and for educators and students worldwide.
