Anula Shakya holds a Master's degree in Theravada Buddhism from Theravada Buddhist Academy, where she graduated as the top student in her batch. She also earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Buddhist Studies from Lotus Academic College, again finishing at the top of her class. Additionally, she has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Patan Multiple Campus and completed her 10+2 with a major in Biology and extra Mathematics from United Academy.

Her teaching experience includes serving as a part-time faculty member at Theravada Buddhist Academy from 2016 to 2023, where she taught various philosophical subjects to MA students. She also worked as a Science Fellow with Teach For Nepal from 2018 to 2020, teaching science to students in classes 7 through 10 and organizing extracurricular activities for their holistic development. Additionally, she lectured on Research Methodology as an Assistant Lecturer at Sugat Bauddha Mahavidhyalaya.
