It’s not every day you get to show your homework to a world-renowned meditation master — but that’s exactly what happened at the Tergar Schools Learning Exhibition this March!
Our campus was buzzing with excitement on the morning of March 28, 2025, as we welcomed a very special guest: His Eminence Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche himself! Along with Rinpoche, we were honoured by the presence of distinguished guests from the local government, including the Chief Education Officer from Nagarjun Municipality, and Khenpo Gyurmé from Tergar Osel Ling, and many other friends and supporters — not to mention a very proud crowd of parents and families who came to cheer on the students.
From the moment you stepped into the exhibition, you could feel the energy. Tables were filled with colourful displays, and the air was alive with the sound of students eagerly explaining their projects to anyone who would listen. The creativity on display was amazing — from carefully designed STEAM and robotics projects to vibrant arts and crafts that reflected the children’s big hearts and bright imaginations.
There were interactive games (with plenty of laughter), hands-on science demos, and even some impressive engineering feats from our young inventors. One student group even built a small working robot — and yes, it moved! Visitors wandered from stall to stall, picking up new facts, trying their hands at challenges, and marvelling at the inventive spirit shining through every project.
The real highlight of the day came as a complete surprise: a musical performance and a heartfelt role play, lovingly prepared by the students to honour Mingyur Rinpoche. As the music began, you could see the pride and joy on everyone’s faces — and even a few happy tears in the audience. It was a beautiful, sincere expression of gratitude for the guidance and inspiration that Rinpoche brings to all of us.
Rinpoche, with his trademark warm smile, took the time to visit each stall, chatting with the students, asking questions, and appreciating their hard work. His genuine interest and encouragement lit up the faces of the children — a moment many of them (and their parents!) will surely treasure forever.
The Learning Exhibition was not just a showcase of academic skills; it was a celebration of curiosity, creativity, and community. It captured the spirit of Tergar Schools perfectly — where learning is joyful, hands-on, and deeply connected to values like awareness, compassion, wisdom, and joy.
By the end of the day, everyone left with full hearts and big smiles, already excited to see what our amazing students will dream up next!
